My name is Pierre Boisvert and I have been in the helicopter maintenance industry for the past 35 years specializing in Eurocopter and Bell Helicopter products. I currently hold an FAA A&P / IA license and also hold a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) in Australia and the UK. My company has just recently completed a contract with the South Korean Government to overhaul (27) sets of Eurocopter P/N AS355A82-9042-00, (9) sets of BHT P/N 214-706-104-003 and (2) sets of Brackett P/N BDW-245B-1801 Hydraulic Ground Handling Wheels and currently obtained a large quantity of new surplus overhaul seal kits for these ground handling wheels, and would like to offer this service to your company and customer base. The cost for the overhaul is $3000.00 USD per set, plus any additional parts that are worn, damaged or missing. The overhauled GHW’s comes with a 1 Year Warranty against workmanship and parts, and includes a Preventable Maintenance / Trouble Shooting / Helpful Tips brochure to help the end user extend the service life of the units. All Overhauls and repairs are done I.A.W. Manufactures Maintenance / Overhaul Manuals The overhaul process consists of the following: 1. Complete Disassembly and Stripping of Parts 2. Detailed Visual Inspection 3. Replacement of unserviceable parts 4. Install new seals, Packing’s and Felt Seals 5. Overhaul of Porter – Ferguson Pump Assembly (BHT GHW Only) 6. New Tires and Tubes 7. Reassembly 8. Paint and Final Finish 9. Functional Test to ensure no leaks are detected and that the GHW’s are functioning to factory specifications. Enclosed, are pictures of before, during and completed stages of a Eurocopter GHW overhaul.
